Scanning protection

The scanning protection is a protective measure that uses special system-dependent safety devices to prevent a tool from scanning the position of the key scan and moving it to the correct position.
Therefore, the tumbler bolts of the lock cylinder are very often shaped differently. No conclusion can be drawn about the clear opening height.

KESO, for example, offers up to 12 geometrically different bolt types. Since each bolt needs the appropriate recess on the key and also partly on the mating bolt, there is no unique height for the zero position of the bolts.
